Gabonese legislative election, 1957
Territorial Assembly elections were held in Gabon on 31 January 1957. Initial results suggested a victory for the Gabonese Social and Democratic Union, which won 14 of the 40 contested seats.[1] However, a recount gave 21 seats to the Gabonese Democratic Bloc and 19 to the Gabonese Social and Democratic Union.[2]
